Between 75 and 100 teens showed up for the fun. Some, when they got there, called their friends and told them to come. The kids enjoyed the pool, the snacks, the rock
wall and of course the Games2U van and laser tag. Both of the vendors commented on what a great group of kids were in attendance. Even the Police Officer seemed to enjoy himself.
Canned goods were collected for the Crofton Food Pantry.
The GCC wishes to express deep gratitude to our donors - John Pantelides for the financial support that allowed the "Wall Climb" and the Games2U. The Kiwanis also provided financial support.
Without their financial support this event would never have happened.
Thanks to Doug Guinn for the music/sound system, Lynda Kroh of Crofton Printing for the printing of the posters, and Rob Smith for the poster design.
Great thanks to CAC (Crofton Athletic Council) representative Phil Rindone - for putting the word out to their members, donating the water, ice and "cooler" as well as providing several
chaperones.
Thanks to the teachers, and staff from the schools that the teens go to, who were there as chaperones.
Also, thanks to the Crofton Village Pool for allowing the GCC to host this event at the Nantucket Pool - this location was beautiful.
And a big thank you Madonna Brennan, Lisa Eliot and their team for coming up with the idea and making it come true.
